Times have changed rapidly in the past 6-months with Covid-19 effecting every aspect of our lives both personally and professionally. Conferences, training sessions, meetings and gatherings are all being done virtually instead of in person. This has presented both challenges and opportunities to take a fresh look at how things are getting done efficiently and effectively. Laser safety training is no exception. Kentek has developed several online training courses allowing you a convenient and safe way to get the training you need.
Basics and Fundamentals
- Basics of Laser Safety. This 30-minute course was produced to meet all basic laser safety training requirements and present laser safety from the laser user’s point of view. After completing this course the user will be ready to learn the specific information they will need to know about their laser and job situation. For more details click here.

Laser Safety Officer Training
- Online Laser Safety Officer. This pre-recorded LSO training course contains the same material presented in our classroom LSO course. This course is taken at your own pace. Several videos with examples of EasyHaz are presented and quizzes are given after each completed module. Once the course is completed you have the option to download or print your LSO certificate For more details on this training option click here.
- Livestream Laser Safety Officer. We developed this course to meet the needs of attendees desiring interaction with a live instructor and other attendees. This course is delivered over 5-weeks using Zoom. The sessions are 2-days a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) for 2-hours a day (1pm-3pm EST) with an optional third hour for extra questions, discussions, etc. Zoom is web-based video conferencing that can be used on a desktop, laptop, or mobile device. A Zoom account is not necessary to attend a Zoom meeting. For more details and upcoming dates click here.
