ANSI Compliance Laser Safety Consultation

1. Review design of laser system and make recommendations if necessary.
2. Review beam and non-beam control measures, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, laser controlled areas for proper signage, entryway controls, beam controls, and laser safety training requirements for employees and the LSO.
3. Review areas of laser use for proper guarding, blocking and/or enclosure of beams.
4. Collect all laser data and generate a laser hazard analysis report for each Class 3B or 4 laser system(s). Laser hazard analysis reports will be included with the final project report.
5. Inspect all laser safety eyewear for proper OD, wavelength and damage.
6. Review current written Laser Safety Program and provide recommendations if necessary. If no written Laser Safety Program is in place Kentek will provide one.
7. Review current laser safety training requirements for incidental personnel and Laser Safety Officer.
8. Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Class 4 lasers. If no SOPs are in place Kentek will provide samples/templates.
9. A final project report including recommendations for laser control measures will be provided.
